Welcome to the 6 Pack Project Body Building Blog
Since this blog started I have kept a rather broad view on all things health and fitness; including strength training, nutrition, reviews, interviews and more.
When I first started the site it was meant to be a way of somehow holding myself accountable, needless to say, it didn’t work!
I haven’t personally posted on the blog in quite sometime due to other commitments but mainly as I didn’t really have anything to say and I was somewhat content with opening up the site to guest bloggers and where traffic has soared engagement has not – this is not what I had intended for myself or my blog.
Personally I have now switched my focus and I am now very interested in bodybuilding, previously my main interest had been strength training, although you may not have guested it from the wide array of topics the site talks about – The difference now of course is I am actually training unlike the past 3 years I have been doing nothing but getting fat and slowly decaying; much like this site.
Getting to the point, the site will be relaunching with a series of posts about body building and the site will remain in that direction from now on. Now when I say body building I’m not strictly talking in the sense of on stage posing in leather thongs with more bronze on me than a church bell – Instead the site will be focused on building a better body for the “Everyman” via the medium of bodybuilding.
A common complaint or concern I hear about getting in shape via bodybuilding techniques is “but I don’t want to get massive” this is of
course not the case and to get ‘massive’ takes years of dedication and sacrifice not to mention bloody hard work.
All the old content on this site will remain in place or will be updated and re-purposed (if it fits the theme of course). The site will cover the same topics but only from a bodybuilding perspective, I will also be trying to add more video content.
I will still be accepting blog posts from other bloggers but they will again need to be based around body building and will remain separate in the community section of the site.
I have been reluctant to make these changes due to a large amount of my site traffic being returning traffic but I think this is best for the long-term.
I think the main issue I want to hit with the ‘new’ site is to cut through some of the ‘noise’ surrounding the bodybuilding scene; things that don’t necessarily apply to the average guy trying to pump some iron to get bigger pecs.
Things such as micro-nutrients and the correct calorific intake are just some of the issues I see but over complications of what really is a basic concept is evident in any bodybuilding forum not to mention the obvious confusions in training techniques.
I hope you enjoy the changes and together along with Arnie we can conquer the world :-)
